I finally had to acquire a chainsaw. Reducing the trees with a hand saw and axe was finding to be to considerably function. The 445 is a fantastic observed for what I need - cutting down trees to close to my buildings and maintaining the road clear of trees and brush. The largest tree I minimize up so far has been a bit over 14 inches in diameter - a poplar. I've minimize birch, poplar, evergreen, and cedar with it. this is the 2nd best observed I've used............the very best was a 1985 Stihl WB028 remarkable saw but was a fuel hog.the 445 has demolished 8 good sized logs for me and only got boring when I hit grime "very widespread dulls or dirties chain"I did have to tighten it as soon as but was tremendous straightforward not like my outdated mcculoch loosen nut tighten screw... retighten nut.this is not a pro grade saw as I was led to believe that but looks lots useful.I acquired mine at a box keep for 360 in Ak not also outrageous also my outdated

Bought this noticed not prolonged back and have set possibly twenty hrs on it this time. It was my 1st "nicer" chain observed and I desired a thing that could manage a 20" bar. I feel the 45cc engine is underpowered for a twenty" bar, as I had difficulty getting by means of some sixteen" locust logs with the stock 18" bar and chain. My suggestions: this saw is great for the occasional user.
